Law on psychoactive controlled substances

Based on Article 52. of the Law on psychoactive controlled substances ( Official Gazette of Serbia no.99/2010):

Transport of psychoactive controlled substance for the purpose of personal therapy when crossing the state border, in terms of this Law, is considered export and import of the amount of psychoactive controlled substance which a person crossing the state border needs for the purpose of personal therapy, or therapy of the animal travelling with him/her, which cannot exceed a monthly need in a calendar year.

The amount of psychoactive controlled substance which a person crossing the state border carries with him/her for treatment of convulsions cannot exceed six months need in a calendar year.

Person from paragraph 1. of this article needs to possess the necessary documentation according to this law, and is obliged to present it upon demand of the competent customs authority.

Person from paragraph 1. of this article does not need to possess the documentation from paragraph 3. of this article for the psychoactive controlled substances in original manufacturer’s packaging in the amount of one package containing 30 individual doses maximum.

The minister determines the conditions for transport of psychoactive controlled substance when crossing the state border for the purpose of personal therapy, as well as the necessary documentation.
